The ASAC Mission is to provide a comfortable, friendly and safe social environment where members and older adults can increase their social contracts, learn, participate in recreational and fitness activities, and enhance their opportunities to achieve a total sense of well-being.
The specific goals of ASAC will shift from time to time to meet the needs of older adults in a changing society, but will focus on:
• Providing a friendly, stimulating ‘Meeting Place’ for Members and older adults in the community
• Activities designed to encourage social interaction and reduce older adult personal isolation
• Developing opportunities for Members to learn, remain healthy and adapt to social and personal changes
• Encouraging older adults and Members to participate in community activities
• Advocating on behalf of ASAC Members and older adults
• Actively promoting volunteerism in the communities ASAC serves.
